My name is Keith Owens, my photographic adventure started in the mid-2000’s with a Nikon D3200, my first DSLR. I was captivated by accident photographing my puppy with a lovely bokeh affect behind him. I was still very new to photography and I look back now and think of all the opportunities I had to make the most of the camera with visits to Iceland and alike but alas I didn’t.
Fast forward 10 years and my interest piqued again after the quality of photos I was taking with a GoPro and Drone were frankly disappointing. The D3200 came out again, I dusted it off and caught the bug. Recognising the restrictions of the D3200 and the lenses I had acquired previously, I invested in a D850 and a couple of better lenses. The quality of photos increased and with an unfathomable number of hours watching youtube my photos have become better, although my journey has only just started. The image on this page was taken in Egypt of the blood moon just after moon rise which coincided with sunset.
I enjoy a vast range of genres of photography including landscape, nightscape, wildlife, equine and sports.
My gallery contains some of the photos I have taken on my journey so far, please feel free to take a look.
I am an amateur not a commercial photographer and have not charged for any of the photos I have taken. I want to showcase my work with the biggest compliment being if someone wants the image on their wall. I want to enjoy this pastime and do some good in the meantime so I have taken the decision not to accept money personally but will donate all proceeds to charity or good causes.
